when i first found out that simms was a boy, i cried. even though i wanted a baby so badly and had multiple miscarriages…my heart was set on a girl. it took a couple weeks but then i started coming around to the idea of having a boy. it was never about me not liking boy activities, because, actually, i really do. i LOVE being outside, getting dirty, fishing, camping, hiking, and exploring. it was about the clothes. i always pictured myself passing all my clothes and accessories down to a little girl. i was heartbroken that i wouldn't get to dress my baby boys in cute clothes, because i was convinced there weren't any. BOY was i wrong. i actually wouldn't change having three boys for anything now. God definitely knew what i needed.

in my humble opinion, i think the fit of boy jeans are where SO many fail. i'm not talking about consumers, i am talking about designers. boys jeans are almost always baggy, way too big, and often even have cargo pockets (GAG!!!!) so when i first had simms, i bought girl jeans (after i checked for ruffles, hearts, etc.) it drove cal crazy but he started to catch on to why i did it. they didn't make simms look feminine. they just FIT. i realize all kids are different and some people may like baggy jeans. but they aren't for me. in the past two years, more companies have started making a more fitted/skinny jeans that are technically for "boys." so i don't have to buy as many "girl" jeans…but i still do some. here's some of my favorites.

first let me show an example of jeans that claim to be "skinny" and for "boys" but aren't the way i like them. this is why i search hard for good jeans. i am not saying what brand they are because i actually really like other clothes they make. but i ordered these jeans online and was so disappointed with the fit that i haven't ever even taken the tags off.

the susie's customs jeans above are my fav. they have the best fit for my kids and they're unisex. i buy them a size down (as i do with all jeans) so that they are extra fitted. these are the same jeans that kim and kourtney kardashian buy for their kids and mayyyyyy have played a large role in my interest in them. haha. they go out of stock the minute she posts an instagram saying they're in stock. so definitely follow her on insta.
