i've been trying to make a point to do more home posts in the blog but i am like a turtle at finishing things in the house. we finished building last july and moved in early august....but you'd think we'd been here two months based on the lack of furniture. for our last house, we literally went to IKEA and loaded up a moving truck and furnished the house. i never LOVED anything. i wanted this house to be different. i want to love everything here. so slowly but surely, we are finishing small areas. honestly, i still haven't found a rug i love for beside the dog shower but figured this was one of the most finished areas in our house, so why not blog it!

i'm also completely guilty of wanting to spend my money on clothes and not house things. really working on that!! in the original house plans, the space where the dog area is was actually a closet. i ditched the closet to help open it up, put a window in for extra natural light, and made it a dog shower. when we built the house, we actually did have a dog. we lost my precious bendel in a sudden and tragic about a month after we moved in. i still haven't been able to get another pet. I honestly still haven't moved past my pain. but that's for a different blog! it's actually turned out to be the perfect dirt boy feet and boto washer ;)
