we left the day after simms's birthday to head down to rosemary beach for a wedding i was shooting. we spent the first half of the week staying in rosemary beach (one of my favorite places ever!!!) and then spent the second half of the week staying in our friend's GORG house on the beach in carillon (thank you thank you thank you rick and betsy!!!!!!!!) if you saw my last blog we shot those pics at their house. if you're ever looking for a stunning house on the beach in this area, you want theirs!!!! check it out here. 

i got seriously addicted to a place called freshii on this trip and ate lunch there almost everyday. so great to have so many clean and fresh options  (officially begging someone to open one in knoxville, this is my plea!) i got something different everyday: juices, kale salad, lemongrass soup, teriyaki bowl, quinoa bowl, etc. this place would drain my bank account…please sponsor me freshii!!! hahah

but back to the trip. cal's dad and stepmom joined us midway through the week. it was so great getting to spend time with them. we don't see them as much as other family since they live in savannah. grandaddy and gg (as the kids call them) are such a great help and immediately jump in to grab whichever kid is crying. we got to eat at two of our favorite places with them (the donut hole and stinky's fish camp) and then tried a couple places we hadn't been called the bay and neat bottle shop. all of our food and drinks were amazing.

the storms in the beginning of the week must've formed this little tidal pool in front of our house. it was a highlight of the trip. it was a literal drop off like a pool so simms could jump in all day. it barely had any waves but freshwater was coming in and out of it from the other end, so it wasn't nasty stagnant water. even better was that all the area around it had water only about 2" deep… perfect for the twins. it literally made my week!! simms spent most of the day swimming in the pool and fishing for sharks with grandaddy. they never caught a shark but we did see a couple! here's simms with his prize jack:

it has been such a crazy busy summer. we were so glad to finally get to soak in some vitamin d!! hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo-hannah
